When wisdom teeth erupt through upper and lower jaw, people experience pain and discomfort. Often the only alternative is for the tooth to be extracted as the wisdom teeth may not erupt completely making it difficult to clean them.

This leads to problems like decay, gum infection and causing repetitive cycles of pain / discomfort. Unerupted or party erupted wisdom tooth can also sometimes cause damage or significant  decay in the adjacent teeth.
